Once you have completed the "contact us" link and given your basic scenario to us (or called the national 1300 number to discuss your requirements) we swiftly work out how much you can borrow, which Lender has the best finance package for you, email the appropriate application to you, assist you to complete the application either online or over the phone,- then when we receive the completed application from you with all the supporting documents, we will "Pre-Assess" your application to ensure it is correct. 5 Steps to an approved loan

This is a general overview to help you better understand and anticipate the processes involved in applying for a loan. As a guide it should be considered as an approximation only, as each individual’s situation will be evaluated on merit. I hope you find it useful.

1. In the initial instance we would discuss with you, your needs as above. We will assess each loan option against your requirements and explain the advantages of one loan over another, including fees, costs and features.

2. Before submitting an application you will need to provide proof of identity and demonstrate your ability to repay the loan. We will let you know exactly what documents you need to supply and help you complete the application form.We will "Pre-Assess" the application to make sure your application is complete, correct and best meets the lenders policies and guidelines for approval.

3. We will submit the application to the loan provider. They will check all the documentation, arrange mortgage lender’s insurance (if required) and evaluate the property.

4. Once you receive Formal Approval we will explain the documents with you and ensure the accuracy of the details. If the loan meets your expectations, including the amount, the term, the interest rate, the repayments and the fees, and you have met any conditions placed on the loan, we will proceed.

5. The loan is settled when all documents are verified and funds are disbursed to the relevant parties.

The applicant checklist

Before you can apply for a loan you must first provide documents that prove your identity and your ability to repay. Please email or Fax the items on the checklist below to us along with your completed loan application.

If you need help getting these documents together, please contact us for assistance.

  • Employees (PAYG) please provide 2 recent payslips (no more than 6 weeks old).
  • A letter from your employer may be required if you have been in your job for a short time.
  • Self Employed please provide tax returns or business financials for the last 2 years. If the loan is "Low-Doc",only supply the documents as detailed in the application or as advised by us.

If you wish to refinance an existing home loan please provide:

  • Statements from your home loan account for the last 6 months
  • Statements from your credit card and store card accounts for the last 3 months (if refinancing this also)
  • Statements from other personal accounts for the last 6 months (if refinancing these also)
  • Confirmation of your existing home loan interest rate (it should be on your statement or your letter of application)
  • A copy of the most recent property council rates notice
  • Photo identification bearing your signature, such as a driver’s licence or passport

If you are seeking finance for a new home loan please provide:

  • The full Contract of Sale
  • Confirmation of any home loan interest rate offered to you
  • Statements from your personal bank accounts for the last 3 months (evidencing deposit and funds to complete)
  • Photo identification bearing your signature, such as a driver’s licence or passport

You may also need to provide the following:

  • Statement of income from Centrelink (if you are receiving income from here) or,
  • Statements from your pension(s)
  • Statements from CSA Maintenance (court ordered)
  • Statements from your superannuation fund(s)
  • Credit history information, detailing arrears, defaults etc. If there are defaults, you will need to supply a letter explaining why these occurred.
  • Statements of rental income
